Belfast College of Art degree Show 2016 – Textiles

Rachel Finlay's textiles are inspired by a deserted mill building. I was drawn to her palette of emerald green, mustard and grey. Her fabric swatches were very tactile - a gorgeous collection. Wild Cocoon

I thought Deirdre Duffy’s minimalist stand Wild Cocoon was very eye-catching. It was pure white with a huge logo in grey and her colourful hand woven shawls and scarves hanging from pegs. Her training was at NCAD after which she did other things before returning to hand weaving.
